February Self-Care Invitation

On February 1st, 2017, in the middle of the political overwhelm many of us were experiencing, I posted an "overwhelm facial" on Instagram. It was something tangible I could do to take care of myself that day. I thought others might benefit from it too. From there I was inspired to notice, each day, something I could do to care for my well-being and in turn contribute to the well-being of those I came in contact with. Self-care has a ripple effect. When you feel good, everyone benefits.

It became a commitment, a challenge, a devotion to continue for the 28 days of February.

This wasn't about sticking to a regime around diet and exercise. No. This was about looking for all the ways I could nourish my body and soul. The easy, at-your-finger-tips ways, as well as the sacred, creative, make-time-for ways.

Here's what I came away withβ€”self-love like I had never experienced it before.

Truly and completely. Devotion to creative, nourishing, sacred self-care has that kind of power.

I've waited all year, to invite you to join me for my first ever February Self-care Invitation. There is a prompt for each day (based on the spontaneous posts from last year) that you can follow or choose your own. You can keep this to yourself or you can join in the Instagram community with the hashtag #28daysofselfcare. I'll see you there.
